The Alamo still stands today with artifacts from more than 182 years ago. It is located on Alamo Plaza at the heart of San Antonio, TX.
The Alamo is a small place. When you arrived, they take a "souvenir photo" in the entrance of the church. You can later buy this in the gift shop. Inside the Alamo, you have different buildings. The main building, with the classic facade, holds the church. Here you can see where the villagers hid during the war and a map of the Alamo. During different times of the year, in the Special Exhibition Hall, they have different exhibitions. When I when to The Alamo, they had an exhibition about James Bowie's knifes. It was late July. The Alamo has a Hall and an amphitheater. You can hold private events in The Alamo Hall. To learn more, click here. Inside the walls of The Alamo, you have a large garden where you can see canyons and artifacts used during The Battle of The Alamo. The Alamo is free of cost.
