Texas Governor Greg Abbott has started to lift certain restrictions to prevent the rapid spread of COVID-19. One of those is the reopening of certain Texas State Parks across the state.
Texas State Parks are now open for day use only. Reserving day passes is required before arriving to parks. Parks headquarters, stores and visitor centers and group sites are closed. Masks and face coverings are not required, but strongly encouraged. Gathering of groups is limited to no more than five people as six-foot social distancing is required. Visitors are encouraged to check the Texas State Parks Alert map for park conditions. Select fishing and boating access points are closed. Boat Registration counters and Law Enforcement officers are also closed. There are online boat registration options. For more information, learn more at https://tpwd.texas.gov/
